La Place Aramis Blanc 2007, White wine Wine

La Place Aramis Blanc 2007, White wine Wine

Origin: France - Southwest
Characteristics: If you’ve never heard of Aramis Blanc before, I and everyone I work with should be fired. This is a stick of dynamite in a bottle! Lemon drops, grapefruit, zest of lime, pine and mint undertones and endless freshness and verve. I’ve been drinking this for years, and I think that 2007 is the best I’ve ever had. Back up the truck already!

Akitabare Junmai Sake 'Northern Skies'
Characteristics: Fresh, clear and clean, this is lovely on the nose and polished in texture. Complex but also wispy, this Junmai hints at a ris ala mande the rice pudding a little fatter a little creamier –from the fact Junmai among the premium categories does not mill as much of the rice husk and hull away leaving more body and texture.

AKITABARE 'KOSHIKI JUNZUKURI'

"NORTHERN SKIES"

A pleasingly dry, well-crafted sake much appreciated by connoisseurs. It has just enough body to support the spare lines of its structure, making it the kind of sake one can drink enjoyably for hours at a stretch. Its subdued, understated refinement evokes a sense of the northern province where it is meticulously brewed. Goes best with seafood and vegetable dishes simply prepared, including tempura. May be served either cold or warmed. -World Sake Imports

Akitabare Spring Snow Sake
Characteristics: Clearly led by their motto “Fierce adherence to tradition, skillful adaptation to change” the Akita Brewing Company is located in northwestern Honshu and makes this exceptional sake in the Sannai Toji style whose rule is subtlety. Light and dry, this is elegance incarnate with a mild balsam aroma that lends a whole new dimension to the floral fragrance. Mild starchy texture on the palate, this sake is nimble and gentle with a sophisticated yet soft spoken finish.
