Antico Colle Chianti 2009, Sangiovese Wine

Antico Colle Chianti 2009, Sangiovese Wine

Origin: Italy - Tuscany

Artisan Vineyard Notes

Characteristics: This medium-bodied, well-balanced wine was subdued at first, with faint black cherry aromas that opened into scents of leather, earthy, plums, and violets. Bright with crisp acidity and balanced tannins. Well rounded fruit components throughout the finish. Definitely over delivers for the money.
- Wine Tasting note by KS, June 2011

Delicate and at the same time very generous with earth and spice. Hard to believe this wine doesn't cost twice as much! Distinctive Sangiovese fruit - juicy cherry, herbaceous and pie spicey - as well as bright acid make this wine an accessible gift to the table.
- wine tasting notes by JN, September 2010
Food Pairings: To be accompanied by first courses, roasts, cold meats and cheese.

August Kesseler N Pinot Noir 2010
Characteristics: August Kesseler 2010 N Pinot Noir Spätburgunder, Pfalz, | 13% | From the chalky marl of the Pfalz’s Mittlehaardt comes a huntsman’s Pinot Noir from vines averaging 35 years old –with brambly raspberries and fruits of the forest, a scent of mown hay, and but a wisp of animal musk, this is rather wild. With its bright, vivacious personality and its tucking though polished, cherry pit tannins, this is just the wine for such quarry as duck and goose or even game on the hoof for that matter.

Bianchi New Age Red
Characteristics: Picked by hand from the Valentin Bianchi Estate vineyards, the grapes are crushed and cooled, followed by 12 hours of cold maceration (to pull the color from the skins) and pressing. Fermentation begins by inoculation with selected yeasts, half-way through the fermentation process the wine is centrifuged (spun) to halt fermentation, creating a slightly sweet, semi-sparkling wine.
An exciting red blend possessing the juicy freshness of just-picked cherries and raspberries on the palate. The aromas of roses and violets round out the nose.

Riedel 'O' Sauvignon blanc/Zinfandel/Sangiovese 2 packs
Description: Riedel "O" is the new take on the wine tumbler. The tumbler, used for centuries as an all-round drinking vessel, is now turned into a sophisticated wine accessory. In short: "O" is the ideal glass for every day use and for every occasion. Without stems to knock into or over, the "O" is pet-proof and kid-friendly, meaning fewer glasses to replace down the line.

The designs of "O" are based on the benchmark shapes of Riedel Vinum. For the first time in glass history the design parameters such as shape of tumbler, size and diameter of rim, have been finely-tuned to enhance the world's most important grape varietals. The price range for the non lead machine-blown glass series is half the price of Riedel Vinum glasses.

It fits in every dishwasher, picnic basket, minibar or small kitchen. Broken stems are a thing of the past.
