Angeline Chardonnay 2012
Characteristics: Coastal Californian Chardonnay retains the brighter charms of Chardonnay with fresh and firm guava and papaya notes on the nose that round out with a ripe fruit on the palate. Although dry it almost comes across as sweetly fragrant on the mid-palate in a way that makes this a natural with savory cuisine from India to Thailand as it can handle density and heat. Argyle Nuthouse Chardonnay 2009
Characteristics: Mouthwatering is the first descriptor that comes to mind. A nose of sweet white peach, orange blossom and cool nectarine with an overlay of toasted hazelnuts, clove and allspice that is so fresh, pure and clean that it just fires up those salivary glands. It opens with a full mouth feel with notes of baked peach and toasted hazelnuts and delicious notes of honey and hints of graham cracker. The palate finishes with clean oak spice notes and a stony minerality that quenches and excites. Tasting note from the winery

Barraud Pouilly Fuisse La Roche 2007
Characteristics: Here the thin soils show themselves which in the 2007s is a terrific complexity. The nose is stoney, chalky. Quince, preserved lemons in the flavours with a shimmery steeliness in the finish. - wine tasting note by LAC, March 2010
