Alexander Valley Vineyards Chardonnay 2005, Chardonnay Wine

Alexander Valley Vineyards Chardonnay 2005, Chardonnay Wine

Origin: USA California - Sonoma
Characteristics: This bright flavorful wine was produced from five individual blocks of Chardonnay. Stainless steel and barrel fermentation with multiple yeast strains, French oak barrel aging on the yeast lees, and partial secondary or malolactic fermentation all combine to present a flavorable and complex wine. Wonderful fruit is balanced with generous alcohol and acidity, enhanced with French oak and yeast aromas. The wine finishes with great flavor and length.

Angeline Chardonnay 2012
Characteristics: Coastal Californian Chardonnay retains the brighter charms of Chardonnay with fresh and firm guava and papaya notes on the nose that round out with a ripe fruit on the palate. Although dry it almost comes across as sweetly fragrant on the mid-palate in a way that makes this a natural with savory cuisine from India to Thailand as it can handle density and heat.

My Rating:
Argyle Nuthouse Chardonnay 2009
Characteristics: Mouthwatering is the first descriptor that comes to mind. A nose of sweet white peach, orange blossom and cool nectarine with an overlay of toasted hazelnuts, clove and allspice that is so fresh, pure and clean that it just fires up those salivary glands. It opens with a full mouth feel with notes of baked peach and toasted hazelnuts and delicious notes of honey and hints of graham cracker. The palate finishes with clean oak spice notes and a stony minerality that quenches and excites.

My Rating:
Barraud Pouilly Fuisse La Roche 2007
Characteristics: Here the thin soils show themselves which in the 2007s is a terrific complexity. The nose is stoney, chalky. Quince, preserved lemons in the flavours with a shimmery steeliness in the finish.

Riedel Sommeliers Montrachet/ Chardonnay
Description: In 1973, in Orvieto, Claus Riedel presented the world's first gourmet glass series developed with the help of the Associazione
Italiana Sommeliers (A.I.S.). The Sommeliers series was developed further by his son Georg,
into an all-embracing state-of-the-art wine glass collection. Praised in 1991 by Robert Parker, Jr, as "The finest glasses for both technical and hedonistic purposes are those made by Riedel. The effect of these
glasses on fine wine is profound. I cannot emphasize enough what a difference they make."

Each glass is individually made: the upper parts blown into a mould, the stem and base hand-crafted using methods developed at the time of Christ's birth.

Riedel Extreme Chardonnay
Description: First developed in 2000 by Georg Riedel, Vinum Extreme glasses are named for their extreme contours and have diamond-shaped bowls that angle out dramatically before narrowing at the top. The result is an exceptionally wide evaporation surface that intensifies and enhances silkiness in the mouth of New World wines, which tend to be more fruit driven in style.
This glass can also be used to enjoy the following varietals: Burgundy White, Chardonnay, Chardonnay New World, Pouilly-Fuisse

Chardonnay or Pouilly-Fuisse

Riedel 'O' Chardonnay/Viognier 2 packs
Description: Riedel "O" is the new take on the wine tumbler. The tumbler, used for centuries as an all-round drinking vessel, is now turned into a sophisticated wine accessory. In short: "O" is the ideal glass for every day use and for every occasion. Without stems to knock into or over, the "O" is pet-proof and kid-friendly, meaning fewer glasses to replace down the line.

The designs of "O" are based on the benchmark shapes of Riedel Vinum. For the first time in glass history the design parameters such as shape of tumbler, size and diameter of rim, have been finely-tuned to enhance the world's most important grape varietals. The price range for the non lead machine-blown glass series is half the price of Riedel Vinum glasses.

It fits in every dishwasher, picnic basket, minibar or small kitchen. Broken stems are a thing of the past.

Riedel Vinum Chardonnay/Chablis 2 packs
Description: Introduced in 1986, Vinum was the first machine-made series of glasses in history to be based exclusively on the characteristics of quality, reasonable price and wide distribution.

Vinum has had a permanent impact on the globe's wine glass culture. These glasses have proved to consumers and restaurateurs that the pleasure of consuming wine starts with the glass.

The Vinum collection, developed by Georg Riedel on the principle that the content commands the shape, is the "Vitrum-Vinothek" for every day use. Vinum is made of more than 24% lead crystal.
