Alexander Valley Vineyards Zinfandel Redemption 2009
Characteristics: Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel at 14.9% This has a dark edge for a wine titled “Redemption” with a dense core of blackberry fruit and an amped up black pepper spice to accompany lamb or smoked ribs. Full on the finish this is juicy, savory, spicy, and an absolute joy to drink as it goes down so easily. Wine review by Nicholas Livingston, August 2012

Alto Moncayo Garnacha 2007
Characteristics: Black as my heart! Black licorice and a deep black, plum-y aroma. This is weighty and powerful with sweet sappy black walnut flavors. A wine that needs the right stemware, nothing fancy but Riedel Magnum glass. This opens the flavors to a richness and fleshiness that is compelling. - wine tasting note by LAC, April 27, 2010
Origin: Spain - Campo de Borja
