How do I learn more about wine?   We hear this question all the time. The answer is tasting attentively but even then gaining knowledge and confidence is slow going without an experienced guide. Ta da!! Us to the rescue.

In our unending effort to encourage, entertain and educate fellow wine lovers, the most photogenic and well-worded among the artisanvineyards.com staff put together a selection of unique wine tasting kits designed to guide you along this road less traveled. Our staff will join you in your home to walk you and your friends through the tasting via DVD.

Each set will deliver an opportunity to educate yourself about wines and to hone your palate. Open the bottles, pop the DVD into the player and taste right along with our staff. Listening to what they have to say as they taste the same wine you are will help build your wine vocabulary, knowledge and confidence.

For example the first two sets are designed to help you fix in your mind the differences between the major varietals of red and white wines; for the reds you’ll taste Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Merlot, Syrah, Tempranillo and Sangiovese. The next set you order could be six or seven examples of the varietal you found most appealing in your first tasting.
