Barraud Pouilly-Fuisse Alliance 2011
Characteristics: Barraud 2011 Alliance Pouilly Fuisse
A blend of various parcels of land:"Terres du Perret, la Côte Carmentrant et Vignes Dessus" with vines between 30 and 45 years of age, this is 100% Chardonnay and 100% Pouilly Fuisse. Creamy lemon peels and mellow apple notes greet the nose like a dear friend who picks up where you left off and all these charms and more carry over on the tongue; a sappy Burgundian texture like waxy apple peelings offer gentle citrus and orchard fruit but also a waxy vanilla bean, lightly poached apples, and a mineral punch unique to Alliance with a blossom on the finish that relaxes the finish into an immediately appealing taste of southern Burgundy.

Barraud Pouilly-Fuisse La Roche 2009
Characteristics: Daniel et Marine Barraud 2009 La Roche Pouilly-Fuissé, Vin de Bourgogne | 13% | 100% Chardonnay | No usage of synthetic chemicals | 100% fostered and harvested by hand | Imported by The Wine Company | La Roche is named for Roche de Vergisson (or Rock of Vergisson) that defines Pouilly-Fuissé. It is an enormous limestone escarpment that faces La Roche de Soloutré and defines the steep limestone vineyards that drape its feet down to the village of Vergisson where the Barrauds have called their home since the 19th century.

From two plots of 35 year old vines, this Pouilly Fuissé is just humming. Tangy scents of creamy lemon peels, poached apples and pears carry on from a permeating nose to a penetrating palate echoing these in a chirping texture of dry extract, apple skin tannins and beautifully ripened flavors lingering fragrantly long onto the finish with a lasting sappiness that goes on for minutes as only great limestone driven Pouilly-Fuisse can do. A Who’s Who sort of exemplary Pouilly-Fuissé at its best.

Baumard Savennieres 2010
Characteristics: Biodynamic | Though Chenin Blanc may grow widely throughout the world, there is only one Savennières and theirs remain the touchstone for the most enchanting and penetrating dry Chenin Blanc to be found. Honeycomb, lime leaves and scents of preserved lemon only begin to cover the engaging nose on this wondrous wine. These all translate to fulsome flavors on the palate and ring out in a quivering minerality that offers a spine of acidity and an almost saline seashell finish.
Wine review by Nicholas Livingston, June 30th 2014 (Flower)

"A dry white wine from Chenin Blanc grapes named after its ancient village: Savennières. Schist and sandstone soils on south-facing slopes overlooking the Loire in the Anjou district, near the city of Angers. A unique wine, bone-dry, full-bodied, assertive and lingering on the palate. Not aged in oak, which does not suit this wine. Its richness, complexity and age ability place it among the world’s finest and most distinctive wines."

Baumard Savennieres Clos Du Papillon 2008
Characteristics: Some upfront notes of pears and green olives lead to himts of melon and green apples. But most notably is the beautiful bracing acidity on the finish.
