Artisan Vineyard Notes
Characteristics: The color is a pale straw with little glints of bright green. Lemon zest, Tarragon and spring grass all woven together well. Very crisp acidity with a good weighty mid palate makes this an excellent foil for roast chicken breast with goat cheese. - Wine tasting note by PC, February 2010
"The 2008 Cliff Lede Sauvignon Blanc displays aromas of Kaffir lime, iris, passion fruit, tarragon, citrus, white pepper, framboise, toasted almond, and freesia. With a poignant mouth defined by good glycerol weight, flavors of lemon meringue, honeysuckle, brioche and guava flow over the palate with a finish reminiscent of desert wildflowers and dry land honey." -notes from the winery

Expert Review
92 Points - "Vibrant, bursting with fresh mandarin orange juice and tropical whiffs of mango and passion fruit, but also plenty of grass and hay notes. There’s a very refreshing acidity, and the flavors sing on the finish. Drink now through 2014." -Wine Review by M.W., Wine Spectator, February 2010
91 Points - "Deep and abundant ripe-melon fruit lies at the heart of this very well-balanced wine, but its complexing elements of fresh herbs, sweet grasses and deft oaky spice take it to another level as far as interest and serious achievement are concerned. Moderately full-bodied, supple and slightly fleshy in feel, it is an accessible Sauvignon of substance, and it will make first-rate drinking with meaty seafoods or herbed poultry." -Wine Review by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine, February 2010
