83% Dijon Clone, 17% Wente
WOW! Vintage after vintage this is THE Oregon Chardonnay to beat. Look out below when I’m drinking it, because expletives will be a droppin’! If more Oregon producers made Chardonnay like this, California would be in serious trouble. Crisp apple and pear fruit, with a bit of creamy crème brulee and little notes of Spanish olive-oil. The texture is supple and the finish persistent. This is (with Calera Mt. Harlan), one of our two best domestic chards at any price.

A touch of gold to the eye. A bit of apricot to the nose. Beautiful expressive chardonnay fruit on the palate. Light bodied, crisp and balanced with some apple and light oak on the back palate. A dry finish that stays with you in the nicest of ways.

Spicy and high toned in the nose with apple, nutmeg, and a little smoky yeast. The mouth is crisp and elegant but really persistent and long at the same time. The same spiced apple notes from the nose follow through nicely into the mouth. This is a very sexy chardonnay which is clearly not from California.
