Artisan Vineyard Notes
Characteristics: We work with these guys to hold wines back for us because Chenin from prime plots of Vouvray insist upon it. Contrary to what one might expect there is nothing of that mushroom reek of lacking elderly Vouvrays. Instead on come the lime trees, lovely aromas as fresh as rain, faint honeycomb, bright juicy acids, a rich middle, brightly polished fruit and a lingering finish –which is why we’ll continue to buck the trends to serve and bring this over far, far too early. Trust us.
- Wine review by Nicholas Livingston, June 2010

Going to an outdoor dinner party? Bring this fun to drink Chenin Blanc.
Pale yellow straw in color. White fruit and floral aromas. Hits you with a blast of clean, refreshing white peach and apricot fruit.
Medium body, medium dry with a soft lush mouth feel. Well balanced and fresh with a hint of mineral and honey on the finish.

Yes, 2006! Most of you are saying “hey, you should be on the 2009”. NOT! If you’ve been tasting the Racauderie wines all along you know how beautifully they show their age – the Katherine Hepburn of Vouvrays. We reserved this wine 3 years ago fully intending to ship it now.

Lovely aromas; ferns in the rain, honeycomb and ripe pitted white fruits. Bright juicy flavours of lavender and frozen melon balls followed by a lovely polished finish. You'll rethink Vouvray.-

Food Pairings: This would be lovely with Asian food. The slight sweetness and wonderfull acidity, which is completely cloaked, would match the spiciness and underling sweetness of many asain sauces. Als, salads, chicken, fish accompanied by an herb sauce.

Suggested Stemware
Riedel 'O' Chardonnay/Viognier 2 packs
Description: Riedel "O" is the new take on the wine tumbler. The tumbler, used for centuries as an all-round drinking vessel, is now turned into a sophisticated wine accessory. In short: "O" is the ideal glass for every day use and for every occasion. Without stems to knock into or over, the "O" is pet-proof and kid-friendly, meaning fewer glasses to replace down the line.

The designs of "O" are based on the benchmark shapes of Riedel Vinum. For the first time in glass history the design parameters such as shape of tumbler, size and diameter of rim, have been finely-tuned to enhance the world's most important grape varietals. The price range for the non lead machine-blown glass series is half the price of Riedel Vinum glasses.

It fits in every dishwasher, picnic basket, minibar or small kitchen. Broken stems are a thing of the past.

Sold in packs of 2

Riedel Vinum Sauvignon blanc/Dessert 2 packs
Description: Introduced in 1986, Vinum was the first machine-made series of glasses in history to be based exclusively on the characteristics of quality, reasonable price and wide distribution.

Vinum has had a permanent impact on the globe's wine glass culture. These glasses have proved to consumers and restaurateurs that the pleasure of consuming wine starts with the glass.

The Vinum collection, developed by Georg Riedel on the principle that the content commands the shape, is the "Vitrum-Vinothek" for every day use. Vinum is made of more than 24% lead crystal.

Riedel Sommeliers Loire
Description: In 1973, in Orvieto, Claus Riedel presented the world's first gourmet glass series developed with the help of the Associazione
Italiana Sommeliers (A.I.S.). The Sommeliers series was developed further by his son Georg,
into an all-embracing state-of-the-art wine glass collection. Praised in 1991 by Robert Parker, Jr, as "The finest glasses for both technical and hedonistic purposes are those made by Riedel. The effect of these
glasses on fine wine is profound. I cannot emphasize enough what a difference they make."

Each glass is individually made: the upper parts blown into a mould, the stem and base hand-crafted using methods developed at the time of Christ's birth.
