Expert Review
92 Points - "A sweet Pinot-like bouquet leads to perfumed black cherries, spices, licorice and tobacco. This mid-weight, graceful Brunello offers gorgeous balance, with an expressive core of fruit that flows through to a long, refined close. The 2005 is one of the best versions of this wine I have tasted in some time." -The Wine Advocate
2005 Caparzo Brunello di Montalcino 90 Points - "Medium ruby-red. Spicy red cherry and floral aromas are bright and enticing. Then sweet and juicy in the mouth, with flavors of ripe red cherry, raspberry jam and cinnamon. Finishes long and clean, with a hint of coffee. A lovely wine with very good balance and above-average concentration for the vintage; I especially like its upfront fruity charm."
