Wine tasting events are fun, informative and sometimes filling. Wine dinners are popular at local restaurants and there are plenty of gourmet clubs amongst neighbors and friends. In the sixties I hear there even may have been pigeage parties, though I can't personally attest to this. Marcus probably can, I'll have to ask him.

Many of these events support charties which feels good.

Enjoy a unique pairing of fine wines and fine chocolates to support a new school for the children of Haiti. The Minneapolis Uptown Rotary Club is hosting a wine and chocolate tasting event. Proceeds will go directly to building a public secondary school for the children of the town of La Victoire in Haiti, who currently have none. The tasting will be conducted by Nicholas Livingston of Artisan Vineyards & David Merrill of Merrill Foods. What is the cause? Haiti Outreach provides sustainable water and educational improvements throughout rural Haiti. Haiti is one of the most impoverished countries in the world, and Haiti Outreach works to build infrastructure and locally-supported programs that create long-term improvements in hygiene and education. Haiti Outreach is currently working to build a new secondary school in La Victoire, and this is the first of many steps that will be taken by local Rotary Clubs to raise over $50,000 to fund the project. How do I buy tickets and register? You can buy tickets and register in one of three ways: 1. You can buy tickets directly from an Uptown Rotary club member for $45. 2.
